Words Chinese - Use Pinyin Builder
To input chinese and have it correctly formatted into chinese pinyin ("Hanyu Pinyin") has never been so easy. Pinyin Builder is now availabe. If you are teaching or learning chinese language, this is the tool you need. Words chinese are now properly formatted with correct tone marks. Its quick and simple.

How to use Pinyin Builder
1. Download Pinyin Builder.
2. Install Pinyin Builder.
Unzip the pinyin.zip file to any directory on your computer. e.g. c:/temp
Run the pinyin.exe program.
3. Add Pinyin Builder to your Desktop.
Create a shortcut from the Pinyin.exe and copy the shortcut to your desktop.
From your desktop simply click on the Pinyin Builder icon.
4. Entering in Pinyin.
To have english pinyin correctly formatted is simple.
Just type in the english pinyin on your keyboard with the Numeric value for the Tone immediately following the letter or the word to be formatted.
In this example above we typed ni3 hao3. or ni3 ha3o.

There are two alternate ways to enter the chinese pinyin into your document.
a) If you have a MS Word document open (or MS Excel, PPT) you can just press Enter and the software will automatically insert the formatted text.
This is the fastest and easiest method.
or
b) You can press the Go button.
A new Line is not automatically added when you do either (a) or (b) but if you select the New Line option it will be added to the document.
This allows rapid entry of chinese pinyin without changing from the Pinyin Builder to the document.

If you are inserting into any other document then use the following commands.
Simply press Enter or the Go Button.
The software will automatically copy this to the clipboard and minimize itself, giving you full access to your document..
In your document position the cursor where you want the chinese pinyin inserted.
Press Ctrl+V or from the menu Edit->Paste.
Pressing Crl+F2 will bring the Pinyin Builder on top of your form and you can just type in more text to be formatted into pinyin.
Again Pressing Enter or GO will Minimize and Copy the Pinyin and position the cursor back in your document where you left it.
Thats it!
Moving the Pinyin Builder around the screen.
Simply hold the left mouse button down whilst over any Black area and drag the Pinyin Builder to the desired location.
*Please Note.
The correct Font for the Pinyin characters is the Arial. You must format the pinyin words in the document you have pasted it to with this font. If your pinyin does not appear correct just reformat it to this font. (Sometimes MSWord does not copy the Font information to the clipboard).
