Phonetics, Phonomes & Phonology.
Definitions:
Phonetics is the study of Speech Sounds, that is breaking the sounds into individual units or phenomes.
Phonology is the study of how phonetic sounds are organized and used in natural languages.
All Spoken Languages have their own phonetic sounds and phonology .............
Language can be best described as a progressive inclusion of the following aspects.
Phonetics->Phonology->Morphology->Syntax->Semantics->Pragmatics.
Phenomes, as we have said, are the individual units of sound that the Speaker produces. That is they are the base sounds that make up an uttered word. Phonetics is involved in analysing and studing the phenomes, and is without reguard to the actual language being spoken. What is presented here is mostly related to phonetic English and the symbolic representation for each English phenome. Please visit the Links below for details about Phonology.
I also do not provide phonetic sounds here but please visit the listed sites for excellent pronunciations of the various phenomes including consonants and vowel sounds.
