How to use Phonetics Builder
1. Download Phonetics Builder.
You can get the installation software from the download page.
2. Install Phonetics Builder.
Unzip the phonetics.zip file to a temporary directory on your computer. e.g. c:/temp
Run the Setup.exe program.
Follow the instructions.
3. Run Phonetics Builder.
To run Phonetics Builder you can:
press Start->All Programs->Phonetic Builder
or
From your desktop simply click on the Phonetics Builder icon.

4. Entering in Phonetic Symbols.

Simply click on the symbols you wish to use for our Phonetic word.
The press the Copy to Clipboard Button.
The software will autmatically copy this to the clipboard and Minimize itself, giving you full access to yor document.
In your document position the cursor where you want the phonetics inserted.
Press Ctrl+V or from the menu Edit->Paste.
Thats it.
You can maximize the Phonetics Builder and do it again
*The correct Font for the Phonetic Symbols is the Lucida Sans Unicode. If your phonetics does not appear correct just reformat it to this font. (Sometimes MSWord does not copy the Font information to the clipboard).
5. Entering in Pinyin.
New Pinyin Builder Now Available. Get this new application for Pinyin Data Entry.

To have pinyin correctly formatted is simple.

Just type in the characters with the Numeric value for the Tone immediately following the letter to format.
In this example above we typed ni3 hao3.
The press the Copy to Clipboard Button.
The software will autmatically copy this to the clipboard and Minimize itself, giving you full access to yor document.
In your document position the cursor where you want the phonetice inserted.
Press Ctrl+V or from the menu Edit->Paste.
Computer Requirements for Phonetics Builder.
Windows NT/2000/XP, Windows 2003, and Windows Vista.
Any Wordprocessor that uses the Clipboard (with Formatting).
